Targeted Industries

It’s well known that certain industry sectors tend to form clusters around assets and amenities that are beneficial to them. We see this all over the world, and it is certainly true in our region and in Anson County. A great example would be our agri-industry and food processing sector. North Carolina’s Southeast is home to one of the nation’s most productive agricultural centers, we have a large workforce familiar with food processing techniques and we’re close to a rapidly growing population base. Each of these by themselves would make for a good place to locate a food processing company. But when you combine them altogether, it becomes something of a no-brainer.

Anson County is home to a growing list of successful and expanding businesses. They are classified below according to their target industry sector. Be sure to click on each target industry sector heading to learn more about why these companies are finding success in southeastern NC. You can also scroll down to the bottom of the page to learn more about some of these interesting companies.
